Fest to whet the appetite
Lovers of European cuisine
will be able to indulge their passion at the Fourth European Food Festival on
May 16 at King Ly Thai To Monument Square in central Ha Noi.
The event coincides with the month-long Europe Day celebration.
The festival, hosted by EuroCham, typically attracts tens of hundreds of
visitors, both expat and Vietnamese.
"This year we expect to attract a bigger crowd with some well-known European F&B
exhibitors and hospitality providers," said Thomas Felber, director of EuroCham
Ha Noi. "The event will be an unique happening in Ha Noi, as it is every year."
The festival aims to promote the rich diversity of European food, and greater
understanding between Europeans and Vietnamese.
"We find this an exciting link between Europe and the Vietnamese and bringing
together the Vietnamese and European communities for a night of food, drink and
entertainment," Felber said.
"As a business chamber, EuroCham finds culture a very important way to bridge
our economies and people – you only do business well in a country you understand
well culturally."
Visitors will also be entertained by variety acts, a magician and live music.
The European Food Festival is supported by Vietnam Airlines, Unilever Viet Nam,
Metro Cash and Carry, the Delegation of the European Commission to Viet Nam and
Piaggio Viet Nam.
Tickets for the festival cost VND180,000 (children under 10 are free) and can be
bought at EuroCham, Ha Noi Sofitel Plaza or at the gate on the day.
