Best Vietnamese graduates from the US to receive awards

      The Institute of International Education Vietnam (IIEVN) on May 12 introduced the first ever Education USA Distinguished Alumni Award, designed for Vietnamese students who graduated from US universities or colleges.
The award will be presented annually to five Vietnamese citizens who had previously studied in the US and later made remarkable contributions to Vietnam’s development as well as bilateral relations.
IIE Vietnam’s Director Dr. Mark Ashwill said that this is the best way to honour the most outstanding students who have graduated in the US and later returned to share the knowledge they have gained with others.
The institute will receive profiles of the candidates, including self-nominees, from May 8 to July 8. The application form is available at www.iievn.org .
The awards will be announced and presented at the first Education USA Alumni Conference, scheduled to take place at the Moevenpick Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City on July 25.
