Exhibition on President Ho Chi Minh’s time in Guangdong
Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh Museum
and the Revolutionary History Museum of Guangdong province (China) opened an
exhibition in Hanoi on May 18, depicting President Ho Chi Minh’s activities in
the Chinese province.
The exhibition offers 150 documents and other items divided into three sections
relating to the late president’s revolutionary activities in the province, the
feelings between him and the Cantonese people, and the friendship between
Vietnam and Guangdong province.
The first section features ‘Uncle Ho’ when he stayed in Guangzhou city from 1924
to 1927, founded the Vietnam League of Young Revolutionaries, organized
political courses for young Vietnamese people, and published a newspaper along
with other revolutionary publications.
Section two portrays the images of President Ho Chi Minh during his nine visits
to Guangdong from 1958 and 1968. During this period, he met with the leaders of
Guangdong province and Guangzhou city, visited many local agencies, factories,
schools, and rural areas, and met with different social groups, leaving the
Guangdong people with a good impression.
The exhibition will last until mid-June, 2009.
