Paradise by the sea
The Paradise Resort in Quang
Ngai Province is a popular getaway during the hot summer months.
One of the few resorts in the central region to harmonize with nature, the
Paradise Resort encompasses the forest, the sea and beautiful beaches. Yet it
also boasts modern facilities, which gives it its distinctive character.
The two-year-old resort is about four kilometers from Chu Lai Airport in the
central region’s Quang Nam Province. It is located in Khe Hai, an area in Binh
Son District’s Binh Thanh Commune of Quang Ngai.
The resort also possesses a beautiful coastline with vast casuarina forests.
When constructing the hotel, the investor preserved the 30-year-old surrounding
woodland area, making it one of the most appealing aspects of the resort.
Still in its first phase of construction, the resort will eventually cover an
area of 200 hectares. “Paradise does not have the same strengths as Hoi An or Da
Nang, however, we have our own appeal for customers,” says Pham Van Hai, the
resort’s director.
According to Hai, the difference lies not in the level of service or food
offered by Paradise Resort, but instead it draws visitors because Hai has
compiled several unique attractions at the resort. For instance, Hai has
collected more than 20 ancient wooden houses over many years, which were built
in a particular style of the central region. The houses have then been
re-assembled at the Paradise Resort for tourists to enjoy.
Two rows of these ancient houses with thousands of exhibits have proved
extremely popular with antique lovers. The museum-like displays even feature
musical instruments of an ethnic group from southwestern China; ancient statues
from Egypt; lingums from Cambodia; and Cham ceramics and exhibits of the Sa
Huynh culture (1000 BC-200 AD).
There are four flights each week (from Tuesday-Saturday) between Chu Lai and Ho
Chi Minh City. The trip takes about one hour and 40 minutes each way. Paradise
Resort also offers bus transport for tourists from Chu Lai Airport.
