French naval ship visits Da Nang
The French VAR naval ship, led
by Vice Admiral Gerard Valin, commander of the French Joint Forces in the Indian
Ocean, anchored at Da Nang Port on May 20, beginning a five-day friendly visit
to the central city.
During their stay, the commander and other officers will pay courtesy visits to
leaders of the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee and the Commands of Military
Zone 5 and Navy Zone C.
The French crewmen will play friendly volleyball and football games with their
counterparts from the Command of Navy Zone C and the Da Nang Football Club. They
will also make a tour of Da Nang, Hoi An and Hue City.
The visit aims to strengthen the friendship between the two countries and their
armies.
