Miraculous kite flying festival on Red River bank

      Over 60 kites of various shapes and sizes flew over the dike slope of the Red River in Dong Anh, Hanoi on May 28 in the morning during the “Thang Long Kite Festival”. The festival attracted members of some kite clubs in Hai Duong and Hanoi.
The most special activity at the festival was the appearance of two giant kites of 8 and 10 m in length which carried a 35 sq.m national flag and a 50 sq.m “Edict on the Transfer of the Capital”.
The festival was a rehearsal for the kite festival day during the 1,000th grand anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi celebration.
