Hotels in Da Nang being overbooked
Hotels located along the coast
in Da Nang city may be overbooked in this summer tourist season as domestic
tourists tend to flock to the city in large numbers.
Statistics show that a tourist company operating in the locality serves some 500
tourists a day on average. Especially, recreation tourism is experiencing an
increase in demand, and as a result, the need for luxury hotels grows even
further.
Even since the beginning of May, 200 tourists to Da Nang have requested 3-star,
or above, tourist services.
In addition to domestic tourists, a large number of international visitors are
flocking to Da Nang. The number of international tourists in Da Nang is now
about 2,300, including 800 Thai nationals who traveled to the city by bus.
Hotels on the waterfront have now becoming overbooked and others along the Han
River have reached 80 per cent of their capacities.
Meanwhile, the city’s Tourism Department has to regularly inspect tourist
service providers, preventing them from charging “rip-off” prices to tourists.
