French artists to perform contemporary dance in Hanoi

      A contemporary dance, Abstraction and Gravity, will be performed on June 6th in Hanoi by a French dance group, L’Expérience Harmaat, led by choreographer Fabrice Lambert.
The performance, organized by the Cultural Department of Ile de France, the French Ministry of Culture and Communications and the French Cultural Centre, will be shown at the Tuoi Tre Theatre.
Establishing L’Expérience Harmaat in 2000, Fabrice Lambert hoped to gather artists from different art forms to share a common topic of movement and body exposure. Under the theme, various dances were created, such as Nobody, Never Mind, TOPO, to reflect body movements and feelings through images.
For the past three years, the group have worked on a series of contemporary dances, including Meutes in 2006, Gravité in 2007 and D’EUX in 2008.
