“Hanoi – a living space” closed
A photo contest on ideas for a
future and more beautiful Hanoi titled “Hanoi – a living space” was closed with
a photo exhibition that is now taking place at the Arts House, 31A Van Mieu,
Hanoi.
The contest was organized by the Lac Viet Community Development and Assistance
Center and sponsored by the Globalization Research Center, Hawaii University,
the USA.
The organizing board said it has received 1,500 photos and albums since the
contest was launched. Many authors are amateur photographers.
Some authors have caught spectacular sights and moments in Hanoi while others
have tried to depict the development of Hanoi or to narrated lives of Hanoians
in Doi Moi times.
At the closing ceremony, the organizing board gave first prize to a masterpiece
named “Urbanization” by Nguyen Tuan Anh and two second prizes to “A Hanoi’s
suburban afternoon” by Nguyen Huynh Mai and an album named “Lake in street” by
Nguyen Xuan Chinh.
