Two Vietnamese comedies join the World Comedy Film Festival 2009

      “Hon Truong Ba da hang thit” (Truong Ba’s soul in the figure of a person selling pork) and “Dich cuoi” (The Epidemic of Smile) directed by Nguyen Quang Dung and Do Minh Tuan, respectively, will represent Vietnam as part of the World Comedy Film Festival 2009 to be held in Thailand from June 10th to 16th.
As planned, the festival will be kicked off with the screening of the Singaporean film entitled The Wedding Game whose characters include two Singaporean stars Fann Wong and Christopher Lee.
Numerous comedy films from over the world will be shown at the festival. Specifically, 20 films are from Europe, 20 from Asia and 12 from the host country, Thailand.
The participating films will be projected in the Paragon Cineplex and SF World Cinema.
A number of comedians, such as Eric Anthony Roberts, Brittany Ann Daniel and the Wayans brothers will present at the festival which was organized by the Thailand Tourism Administration, the Thailand Cinematographic Association and the Thailand Comedy Film Association.
