Exhibitions on Cham pottery open in Khanh Hoa
Exhibitions of the pottery of
the Cham community opened in Nha Trang city, Khanh Hoa province on June 4.
At Ponagar Tower complex, sculptor Doan Xuan Hung displayed 100 works depicting
the daily lives of the people in the Cham community. The exhibition mainly
displayed images of loving, candid moments between women and their children.
Besides, in Nha Trang beach park, artisan Nhat Chi Lan from Binh Thuan province,
exhibited pottery made in the well-known village of Bac Binh.
In particular, two lamps, which set records in Vietnam for their height and
width, were displayed at the exhibition. Each of the lamps is 2.3m tall and 0.5m
wide with figurative human faces at the base.
These exhibitions will last until June 6.
