119 travel businesses honoured for outstanding performance

      As many as 119 travel businesses were presented The Guide Awards at a ceremony in HCM City on June 5 in recognition of their outstanding performance in the tourism sector.
Among the awards recipients were businesses that have been honoured for 8 to 10 consecutive years. They were Caravel Hotel in HCM City, Furama Resort in Da Nang, Sofitel Metropole Hotel in Hanoi, Sunway Hotel in Hanoi, Majestic Hotel in HCM City, Melia Hotel in Hanoi, Khaisilk, Press Club, Saigontourist Company and New World Hotel in HCM City.
The award aims to honour and encourage businesses to increase the quality of products and services
The organising board also presented the Green Lotus Bud awards to 8 businesses which have provided environmentally friendly services in their operations. They were Anoasis Beach Resort, Binh An village Resort, Hoi An Riverside Resort, Ho Tram Beach Resort&Spa, Princess D’Annam Resort&Spa, Swiss-Bel Hotel Golden Sand Resort&Spa Hoi An, The Pilgrimage Village and Victoria Phan Thiet Beach Resort&Spa.
A workshop on travel businesses and the environment was also held on the same day.
This is the 10th year Thoi Bao Kinh Te Vietnam (Vietnam Economic Times) has sponsored the event.
