Two Vietnam’s records to be set at Sea Festival 2009
The largest pot of rice noodle
soup (pho)’ and 'the biggest traditional orchestra' will be two new Vietnamese
records at the Sea Festival 2009, to be held in Nha Trang this June.
The idea is initiated by the Nha Trang College of Culture, Arts and Tourism.
The college will mobilise 100 students to take part in the making of this rice
noodle soup pot with a diametre of 3m and 1.5m in height.
A huge pot and ten smaller pots with capacity of 100 litres each, about 1,000
bowls and 2,000 forks will be used to make the largest pot of rice noodle soup
in Vietnam.
The total cost to make this pot which caters for about 600 people is put at VND
100 million.
Especially, the bowl will be sold at an auction and all of the proceeds will be
donated to the province's gratitude fund.
Besides, lecturers and students from the Music Department of the College
together with many favourite Vietnamese artists will assemble to set up the
biggest traditional orchestra.
The orchestra will have the participation of 150 musicians and 100 dancers,
featuring traditional pieces of music at a concert named ‘Country in Festivity’
in 2/4 Square on June 10.
