Amateur golf tourney tees off in Lam Dong

      More than 105 Vietnamese, ASEAN and international amateur golfers are taking in the 2009 Vietnam Amateur Open, organised by the Vietnam Golf Association, starting in Lam Dong on May 11.
This is the largest Vietnamese golf tournament this year. According to Nguyen Danh Thai, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the event is an excellent chance for domestic golfers to learn from each other and improve the quality of their game.
Along with the tournament, the Da Lat golf course in Lam Dong is also hosting the Vietnam Lady National Championship with the participation of 14 amateur female golfers.
Both of the tournaments will conclude on June 14.
