VND60 billion allocated to reduce traffic jams

      The Hanoi Transport Department has asked the Hanoi municipal People’s Committee to allocate it VND60 billion to ensure traffic safety and prevent traffic congestion in the second half of this year.
The department has also requested the Hanoi Planning and Architecture Department to define its position on installing flyovers for pedestrians in areas prone to traffic jams. In order to reduce traffic jams and accidents, the traffic light control centre will continue to examine and regulate the system of traffic signs and cooperate with the Traffic Police Office to set up a working group in charge of handling traffic violations and checking transport to keep areas free of congestion.
