Flights with cases of A/H1N1 flu disinfected
HCM City’s health department
held a meeting with the Steering Committee for A/H1N1 flu Prevention and Control
at Tan Son Nhat international airport on June 15 to discuss measures to combat
A/H1N1 flu.
All the relevant agencies agreed on a plan to disinfect flights after detecting
suspected cases of H1N1 flu by using disinfectants produced in the UK and the US
to ensure passenger safety.
So far, 152 flights with A/H1N1 suspected cases of infection on board have been
dealt with. In addition, the health department also agreed to provide the
Steering Committee with the latest information on the development of A/H1N1 flu.
Some 23 A/H1N1 patients have been treated in HCM City and 13 discharged from
hospital so far.
On June 15, 14 passengers with high temperatures were detected at Tan Son Nhat
airport and sent to Pham Ngoc Thanh hospital for isolation. In addition, another
five suspected patients had health check-ups at hospitals in the city and are
waiting for their test results.
