BBC airs TV commercial to promote Vietnam tourism
A 30-second TV commercial to
promote Vietnamese tourism began broadcasting on the British Broadcasting
Corporation’s World News on June 11, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism
said.
The advertisement, made by BBC professionals to introduce the country and people
of Vietnam, will be aired a total 429 times in more than 200 countries and
territories around the world.
The International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and
Tourism is negotiating with ESPN and Star World to advertise images of Vietnam
on the two channels.
Beginning July 1, images of Vietnam’s major scenic spots will be advertised on
public transport in London for six months.
The government plans to spend VND25 billion (US$1.4 million) this year to
promote tourism..
