Green Office promoted in Vietnam
A seminar to introduce the
Green Office programme to Vietnamese businesses was held on June 24th by the
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) in coordination with Toyota Motor Company Vietnam.
The Green Office programme, which is an environmental management system,
launched by WWF Finland in 1997, is widely seen as a simple and easy to be
implemented endeavor.
It aims to help businesses reduce consumption of natural resources as energy and
water, as well as cutting down office costs and minimising the impact on the
surrounding environment.
Offices large or small, public or private, can all follow and benefit from the
programme.
The programme was first introduced in Vietnam in 2007 and it has so far admitted
the Finnish Embassy, British Embassy, Conforama IHTM Company, OUT-2 Design
Company and Toyota Motor Company Vietnam as its members.
