A large-scale exhibition on handicrafts in the pipeline
Chairman of the Vietnam
Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), Vu Tien Loc, had a meeting with
Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Mitsuo Sakaba on July 7th to discuss organization
of a large-scale exhibition on Vietnamese handicrafts.
At the meeting, the Japanese diplomat proposed to make the exhibition
international by opening its participation to regional businesses. He also
expressed his hope that the exhibition would bring about not only economic, but
also cultural and social meanings.
Sharing the Japanese Ambassador’s view, the organizers will develop the event as
a festival. The 2 sides also agreed on the name of the event as “Vietnam-Japan
Trade Exhibition 1”.
During the event, there will be a large number of various activities, including
the 4th Vietnam-Japan Business Forum, cultural exchanges, and a tourism fair.
The two sides also hope that with good preparation, the event will be successful
and this initial success will lay a firm foundation for the events that will
follow.
