Cherry blossoms to grow in Hanoi

      Cherry blossoms will be planted in some parks and streets in Hanoi, in the coming time, to celebrate the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi and promote the friendship between Vietnam and Japan.
The initiative came from some overseas Vietnamese in Japan and the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee sent a proposal to the Hanoi People’s Committee to consider the initiative.
Accordingly, the Hanoi People’s Committee authorized the Hanoi Park and Green Tree Company to receive the cherry blossom seeds sent from Japan to grow in some parks and streets.
Earlier, the committee requested the company plant some cherry blossoms that were presented by the Japanese in Nghia Do Park and Thuy Khue Street. The cherry blossoms are growing well and prospering.
