Valuable gong sets found in Kon Tum
Twelve valuable sets of gongs
have recently been found in Dac Me village, Bo Y commune through a survey made
by the Department of Culture and Information of Ngoc Hoi district, Kon Tum
Central Highlands province.
Of these sets, there are sets having some tens of gongs, from small to large
sizes. They are now kept by Brau ethnic minority people who are among the least
six minority people group in Vietnam. Nearly 400 Brau ethnic people who are
living in Dac Me village now own 94 sets of gongs in total.
