Localities to organise culture and sport festivals

      Localities are now setting up plans to organise culture, sports and tourism festivals in anticipation of the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has recently approved the programme on culture, sports and tourism days of the Red River delta provinces 2009.
This will be the big event of the ten Red River delta provinces which is scheduled to take place in October in Thai Binh province.
The detail programme will be completed by July.
A similar festival will also be held in Bac Ninh northern province in 2010. The festival aims to introducing the image, economic potential , culture, people and land of Bac Ninh province.
In preparation for the festival, from now until 2010, the province will also hold various activities such as exhibitions, folk games, trade and tourism fair, culinary, arts and quan ho (love duets) singing performance, the speciality of the locality.
