1 million USD for restoration of Voi Phuc Temple
The construction for
restoration of Voi Phuc Temple (Kneeling Elephant) started on July 4 in Hanoi.
The total investment for the project is put at VND 18 billion (around US $1
million).
The project is expected to complete after 270 days.
The Temple has been called Voi Phuc Temple as there are two kneeling elephants
right on the either side of the entrance of the temple. This temple was built to
worship Royal Highness Linh Lang. It is located in the West of Thang Long
capital (now it is in Cau Giay ward, Ba Dinh district, Hanoi).
This is the fourth relic site under restoration to celebrate the 1000th Thang
Long – Hanoi after Kim Lien communal house in Dong Da district, located in the
south, Bach Ma Temple in Hoan Kiem, located in the east, and Quan Thanh Temple,
located in the north of the capital city.
