Seven more people in Kon Tum recognised as folk artisans
Seven more people in Kon Tum recognised as folk artisans
Seven more ethnic minority
people from the Central Highlands province of Kon Tum have been recognised as
‘Folk artisans’ by the Vietnam Folk Arts Association.
This was announced by the Kon Tum Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on
July 7. The seven artisans are from the Ba Na, Gie Trieng and Brau ethnic
groups.
They are recognised as folk artisans in the fields of epic poetry (three
artisans, two of whom are dead), and ethnic minority music (making instruments,
performing and teaching musicians).
The decision brings the total number of folk artisans in Kon Tum to 17.
