Vietnamese water puppets go to Kijimura festival in Japan

      Ho Chi Minh City’s Rong Vang (Golden Dragon) water puppetry troupe, owned by Thai Duong Stage Arts Company, will represent Vietnam to take part in the 2009 Kijimura Festa Festival in Japan at the invitation of Eshio Okinawa Joint Stock Company.
The 17-member troupe will give 7 performances in Tokyo and Okinawa between July 20 and August 6.
The festival will feature 63 performances by participants from Japan, Vietnam, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Bulgaria, Australia, Croatia, the Republic of Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines and Cambodia.
The event aims to educate young people and promote cultural exchanges among countries.
