Saigontourist’s turnover reaches VND3.8 trillion in first half

      Saigontourist Holding Company’s turnover, in the first six months of 2009, is estimated at nearly VND3.8 trillion, equal to that of the same period last year.
It is considered a satisfactory achievement as the tourism sector is facing adversity, caused by the global economic crisis and the influenza A/H1N1.
In the near future, Saigontouris will work with Vietnam Airlines and other international airlines to launch a number of tourism campaigns. In addition, from now until the year’s end, the group will continue to negotiate with its partners to buy a hotel in the U.S.
Saigontourist is also expected to attain a total turnover of nearly VND8.2 trillion this year, a remarkable increase compared to last year’s figure of VND7.5 trillion.
