European boat to come to Vietnam
Amwaterways, a European
riverway shipping company, has announced it will bring its La Marguerite cruise
ship to Vietnam to work beginning this September.
The ship will run from Vietnam-Cambodia as well as on local routes. The first
trip is slated for September, departing from HCM City.
La Marguerite (235 feet length, 41 feet width) has 46 cabins, able to
accommodate 92 passengers. The ship has luxurious facilities like a spa room, a
gym, bar and restaurant and library.
Amawaterway has finalised its preparations for its La Marguerite tour named
“Vietnam, Cambodia and the richness of Mekong 2009-2011”. The ship has a working
schedule from September 2009 to May 2011.
Passengers can catch La Marguerite in HCM City or Siem Reap (Cambodia). This is
a river-way and aviation tour.
For example, with a 15-day tour, visitors will depart from Hanoi to Ha Long bay
in Quang Ninh province before flying to Siem Reap. After visiting Angkor, they
will get on La Marguerite on the 7th day at Tonle Sap Lake. The ship will take
them to Kampong Cham, Phnom Penh in Cambodia and then Tan Chau, Sa Dec, Cai Be
and HCM City in Vietnam. They will return home by air.
The ship will also offer 8-day tours to central Vietnam and a 4-day tour to Hong
Kong.
