Vedana Lagoon ecotourist site broken ground
The ground-breaking ceremony
of Vedana Lagoon ecotourist site was held on July 9 at Mui Ne Pass, Phu Loc
Small Town, Phu Loc District. Vedana Lagoon is located in the north-west of Mui
Ne Pass, covering an area of 27,333.5 meters square, surrounded by hills,
mountains and lagoons.
Capitalised by the Vedana Ecotourist Company Limited, the 6-million US$
ecotourist site will comprise of 55 high-class bedrooms, restaurant,
swimming-pool, sport area, souvenir shops... Vedana Lagoon ecotourist site is
scheduled to be in operation in November 2010.
At the ceremony, Mr. Ngo Hoa - Vice Chairman of Thua Thien Hue People's
Committee - stressed the Vedana Lagoon Ecotourist Site would be an essential and
helpful complex satisfying tourists' demand on entertainment and leisure;
contributing to diversifying tourist products and strengthening the
attractiveness as well as competitiveness of Thua Thien Hue tourism. Once going
into operation, the ecotourist site will not only bring economic benefits but
also help create jobs for labour force and improve infrastructure in the area.
