Communications to mark President Ho’s Testament anniversary

      Diverse activities will be carried out across the country to mark the 40th anniversary of the late President Ho Chi Minh’s Testament (September 2).
The Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education has issued guidelines on how to celebrate the event. Following the guidelines, provinces, cities and sectors will launch communication campaigns to promote the ideological, historical and cultural values of the Testament, President Ho’s virtuous character and brilliant revolutionary heroism and to draw lessons from his great revolutionary cause.
The commission says the campaigns must highlight Vietnam’s achievements in implementing the Testament over four decades, the liberation of south Vietnam and national unification, Party building work, improvements in people’s well-being and international solidarity.
Besides a grand national meeting to be held on September 2, a televised programme connecting Hanoi, Nghe An province, Hue City and HCM City will be broadcast in the evening of the same day to celebrate the event.
The Ho Chi Minh National Politics and Administration Academy will also host a symposium on the historical value of the Testament.
