The La Marguerite takes tourists to Vietnam
Amwaterways, a European
company specializing in river cruises, plans to put the La Marguerite liner into
operation in Vietnam.
The first trip will start this September from Ho Chi Minh City.
The La Marguerite, at 235 feet long and 41 feet wide, can accommodate 92
passengers in 46 cabins, including a 42s.q.m Indochina room, and has a number of
services onboard, such as spa, sports room, bars, restaurants and a library.
Ho Chi Minh City in Vietnam and Siem Reap in Cambodia will be two boarding
spots.
The 15 day-tour designed for La Marguerite’s guests, will depart from Hanoi to
Halong Bay. Tourists, then, will fly to Siem Reap. After visiting Angkor Wat and
Ta Prohm temple, tourists will board the La Marguerite on the seventh day of the
tour to go to Lake Tonle Sap, Kampong Cham, Phnom Penh, Tan Chau, Sa Dec, Cai Be
and Ho Chi Minh City.
In addition to the above tour, tourists can go to Central Vietnam, including
Hue, Danang, Hoi An in an eight-day tour, or to Hong Kong in a four-day
alternative tour.
Amwaterways has already advertised a tour, entitled “Vietnam, Cambodia and the
wealth of the Mekong 2009-2011”. Schedules of this tour are available from now
to May 2011.
