Heroic martyrs in Dien Bien Phu honoured

      A grand requiem for heroic martyrs who sacrificed themselves in the Dien Dien Phu campaign was held on July 18th in Muong Thanh, Dien Bien city.
The Buddhist rites drew the participation of members of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s family, Buddhist monks and thousands of local people.
The celebration of the solemn event was to pay gratitude to the martyrs.
At the rites, Buddhist monks and followers and participants recalled the national landslide victory and the contribution made by the fathers’ generation to the nation’s independence and freedom.
