Ho Chi Minh City launched emulations toward the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi

      Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has launched an emulation campaign toward the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi, the second phrase of the campaign to study and follow President Ho Chi Minh’s ethics, and emulation campaigns to mark great festivals in 2009 and 2010.
Accordingly, Ho Chi Minh City will coordinate with Hanoi City to build several works to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi, especially the construction of Uncle Ho and Uncle Ton in Hanoi’s Thong Nhat park; and cooperate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to organize art performances and an exhibition to mark the event.
In addition, Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee will make a plan on the emulation campaign to mark the 1000th anniversary of Thang Long – Hanoi. Accordingly, agencies and localities will build one or two works for great festivals in 2009 and 2010.
