Lac Hong to organize FAM trip for Filipino travel agents

      Lac Hong Voyages Co., Ltd in HCMC is cooperating with Philippines Airlines and some five-star hotels in the city to organize a familiarization trip for 16 delegations of Filipino travel agents and this airlines to visit HCMC this week.
Tran Vinh Loc, executive director of the company told the Daily that the four-day trip would start this Thursday, taking special guests to tourist attractions and traditional art performances in the city. A business meeting between these visitors with some hotels in HCMC will also be arranged.
“We are focusing on introducing the beauty of the city’s churches and pagodas to the travel agents because many Filipino tourists have a demand to visit such religious sites,” he said.
He said that 14 of these participants are representing 14 big travel agents in the Philippines.
To bring Filipino guests to HCMC, Philippines Airlines is sponsoring air tickets for the special guests, while the three five-star hotels of Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers, Renaissance River Saigon, Movenpick Saigon & Windsor Plaza Hotel are joining hands in arranging accommodation and other services. Lac Hong Voyages, meanwhile, will be providing travel services for the guests.
“The number of Filipino tourists to HCMC and Vietnam is still small but we want to promote Vietnam’s destinations, products and services, aiming to attract more visitors from the short-haul market,” Loc said.
He said that his company is receiving Filipino travelers every month. Most of the guests come for leisure, and therefore they choose short tours of four to five days.
The company is working with both Philippines Airlines and Philippines Tourism Authority to promote inbound and outbound tours between the two countries.
