Special tours designed for the 1000th founding anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi
The Hanoi Department of
Culture, Sports and Tourism is designing several special tourism programmes in
order to welcome the 1,000 founding anniversary of Thang Long-Hanoi and the
debut of the 2010 National Tourism Year.
Accordingly, from July to October, the department will carry out various surveys
across the country to form feasible tours.
As plans, the tours’ destinations will be ancient Vietnamese citadels” (Tay Do,
Ho dynasty citadel in Thanh Hoa, Phong Chau in Phu Tho, Ancient city of Hoa Lu
in Ninh Binh, Thien Truong Royal Palace in Nam Dinh and Emperor Citatel in Binh
Dinh); “Tours linking with Buddhism and the Ly Dynasty:” in Luy Lau, Yen Tu,
Huong Pagoda, Tay Phuong Pagoda, etc.; and Special Tours to the Museum of Hanoi,
the Museums of History, Fine Arts, Military History, Ethnology and Truong Son
Trail.
Moreover, the department will conduct various fact-finding trips to eco-tourism
areas, trade villages, and old quarters to design the best tours to those
attractive destinations.
Attentively, a tour of martial arts in Hanoi will give tourists an opportunity
to know more about this unique skill and the strength of the Vietnamese and
Hanoian art form will be custom tailored for the visiting tourists.
