Educational tour to U.S. to go ahead next month
Ho Chi Minh City-based travel
firm Perfect Tour will launch a new tour to Boston next month for Vietnamese
parents and students looking for tertiary education opportunities in one of
North America’s cradles of learning.
Perfect Tour director, Nguyen The Khai, told The Saigon Times on Wednesday the
first week-long tour would start in late August.
Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology will be
highlights of the educational tour, before the group embarks on sightseeing
trips to New York, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Niagara Falls, Khai said.
“Vietnamese tourists are interested in learning about American education and
they often ask for help from their relatives in America,” the director said.
The trip will cost the 35 registered participants US$3,200 each, he said.
Perfect Tour arranges outbound tours to the U.S. every week but only ten percent
of its customers are holidaymakers, according to Khai.
Most customers tour the U.S. to visit their relatives and half of them want to
learn more about American education for their children, Khai said.
The director said his company also plans to team up with universities and
colleges in Seattle and Florida.
