Volunteers to join Youth Camp for World Heritage

The northern province of Quang Ninh’s Ha Long Bay was selected to host the voluntary youth camp, which is scheduled to be co-organized by Solidarites Jeunesses Vietnam and Ha Long Bay’s management board, from August 15-28.
The retreat is one of 12 voluntary campaigns, on world heritage popularization and protection launched by UNESCO and the Coordinating Committee for International Volunteer Services, since 2007.
Participants at this year’s camp are 7 volunteers from Vietnam and 6 additional people from Canada, France, Germany and the Republic of Korea...
During the event, they will study and find solutions to deal with effects of economic and tourism development on the environment and daily lives of local people in Ha Long.
