Tours to the upper Chay river designed

Four community tourism routes designed to the upper Chay river are being test run in districts of Muong Khuong and Si Ma Cai this August, under the new approval given by the Chairman of the People’s Committee of Lao Cao province.
Earlier, several tourism businesses started conducting fact-finding trips and experiencing these newly-formed tours in order to team up with the locality for tourism exploitation.
As said, these routes are on the tourism road going through Northern mountainous provinces of Bac Kan, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Lao Cai and Ha Giang, whose sceneries were voted the most beautiful in Vietnam by the Travelling Department under the Vietnam Tourism Administration in 2007.
The routes also take tourists to villages where ethnic groups have been living for a long time to explore their typical culture identities through traditional festivals, mountainous market festivals and handicrafts.
