Vietnam’s Northern Province operates 4 more community tourism routes
The People’s Committee of
Vietnam’s Northern Lao Cai Province has signed a decision putting four more
community tourism routes in two border districts of Muong Khuong and Si Ma Cai
into operation to stimulate travel demand in the locality.
Accordingly, Muong Khuong district will have two community tourism routes:
Laocai – Ta Lam Waterfall – Pha Long – Ta Gia Khau (Muong Khuong) – Ban Me (Si
Ma Cai) – Laocai and Lao Cai – Lung Khau Nhin – Muong Lum hamlet (La Pan Tan
commune) – Cam Village (Bao Thang) – Laocai.
The two remaining community tourism routes in Si Ma Cai include: Laocai – Bac Ha
town – Can Cau –Si Ma Cai commune – Ban Me commune – Chay River – Ccc Ly –
Laocai and Laocai – Bac Ha town – Can Cau –Si Ma Cai town – Quan Than San – Chay
River – Coc Ly – Laocai.
These routes, located in Vietnam’s northern mountainous travel roads (crossing
Bac Can, Yen Bai, Lai Chau, Lao Cai, and Ha Giang Provinces), have the most
beautiful landscapes in Vietnam surveyed and ranked by the Travel Department
under the Vietnam National Tourism Administration in 2007.
Travel agents are allowed to take local and foreign tourists to these landscapes
under the current existing and entrance regulations.
Lao Cai Province attracts nearly 500,000 tourists annually, with the majority
from Europe and Japan doing mountain climbing tours and discovering the cultural
characters of ethnic minorities.
