Fine arts exhibition for northwest and northernmost region opens

The 14th fine arts exhibition for northwest and northernmost region opened in Viet Tri town, Phu Tho province on August 10.
The exhibition display 268 art works by 234 artists from 14 provinces in the region. Of those, 76 art works are from members of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association and the remainders are from local fine arts associations.
Works at the exhibition feature the traditional cultural beauty as well as the national renovation.
Three highest prizes, A, B and C were awarded to artists Do Ngoc Dung from Phu Tho province, Nguyen Van Ton from Bac Giang province and Mai Xuan Oanh from Son La province respectively. All three are oil paintings and they will later be sent to join the National Committee for the Vietnam Union of Literature and Art Associations.
The exhibition opens until August 25.
