Northern folk music entertains Danang citizens

The art troupe from the Vietnam Center for Traditional Culture Research, Preservation and Promotion has lately conducted a number of folk music performances at Nguyen Hien Dinh Classical Drama Theatre in Danang city.
The theatre was crowded with audiences during the evening of August 11th.
Artists played 15 works, typical of northern Vietnam, such as Bac Ninh love duets, “Xam” singing, and “chau van” singing. These folklores have represented Vietnam at several international musical exchanges.
Also on this occasion, Danang audiences had an opportunity to enjoy a two-chord fiddle solo performance by professor cum musician Ba Pho.
Before returning to Hanoi, the art troupe had another performance in Dien Ban district, Quang Nam province.
