Hotel chain launches toll-free hotline for reservations

US-based Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide Tuesday launched a free hotline for guests in Vietnam to make reservations and enquiries to the firm’s 950 hotels and resorts worldwide.
The hotline 1206-5111 will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week with operators speaking 24 languages and requires no international or local access code, Starwood’s representatives said in a press briefing Tuesday.
Manager of the Sheraton Saigon Hotel, Martin Wuethrich, said Starwood had launched toll-free numbers in other countries which can be found on the website www.starwoodhotels.com/tollfree.
Guests who dial the hotline and quote “TOL 111” to book at the Sheraton Saigon and Sheraton Hanoi Hotel from August 11 to September 7 will get a promotional rate from VND2,065,111 (US$120.73) per night, he said.
The promotion is also available for the new Sheraton Nha Trang Hotel and Spa, which opened for bookings Tuesday.
The 284-room hotel will be open in November in the central beach town of Nha Trang, said General Manager Scott Hodgetts.
Starwood has a total asset base of $14 billion with 520 hotels including 250 hotels in the Asia Pacific region.
