One Dollar-One Day Fund initiated

The Vietnam Tourism Association has recently discussed the establishment of a One dollar-One day fund to promote activities of the domestic sector.
The idea is initiated from a project of the EU, calling for the contribution of US$1 by enterprises and hotels each day. The fund will be used for tourism marketing and other activities.
The General Department of Tourism reported that 4.2 million tourists visited Vietnam in 2008 so that the contribution, US$ 1 one day, would potentially reach US$ 4.2 million in the year.
