US $900 million to be invested in a luxurious tourist complex

As much as US$900 million will be invested in a luxurious tourist complex in central Vietnam by Banyan Tree, a Singapore-based group specialising in tourist resorts, hotels and other property projects.
The project will cover an area of 280 ha, 50 km away from Hue city, with some 2,000 hotel rooms, function rooms, a convention center, golf course and other entertainment and sports facilities.
Under the project, Banyan Tree will first invest US$200 million in a seaside tourist resort with 2 hotels, a golf course and an apartment quarter.
All the sub-projects in the first phase are scheduled to be wrapped up and put in use by 2012.
Banyan Tree now possesses and executes a number of luxurious resorts around the world.
