Unique and fascinating features of Ninh Binh tourism
If they travel to the Northern
Province of Ninh Binh, tourists should take the extra time to visit Tam Coc
(Three Grottoes) in Ninh Hai Commune, Hoa Lu District.
It takes about three hours to go through Tam Coc by boat. While on the boat,
tourists can enjoy the wonderful sceneries of vast, green rice fields and the
gorgeous mountains on either side of the Ngo Dong River.
Hang Ca (Oldest Grotto) is considered the largest, and the most beautiful,
grotto in Tam Coc, with a total length of nearly 130 meters. It is located at
the foot of a large mountain that crosses over the Ngo Dong River. When the boat
enters the back of the cave, tourists will be able to see sparkling and colorful
cliffs.
The next destination will be Hang Hai (Second Grotto) and then Hang Ba (Third
Grotto). Each has its own specific features, though they are a bit shorter than
Hang Ca.
Tourists can also visit Bich Dong Pagoda, the second most beautiful cave in
Vietnam, this ancient architectural work is perched high up on a mountain side.
Ninh Binh Province is aan attractive destination for both domestic and foreign
visitors thanks to its many famous tourist spots such as Tien Grotto, the
Ancient Capital of Hoa Lu, Phat Diem Church, Cuc Phuong Forest, and many others.
