Support hiring foreign consultants for Con Dao project

The Supervisor Group under the Resolution No. 05/2008 of the provincial Party Committee on tourism economic development to 2010 and vision 2015 had the working session with the Con Dao Development Management Board on the implementation of this Resolution.
According to the report of the Management Board, Con Dao’s economic mechanism is developing under the model of services - tourism - industry, many basic construction projects completed, serving well for the tourism economic development as Con Son airport, Ben Dam port, diesel power plant, water supply plant... Tours are exploited efficiently, attracted some 20,000 visitors to Con Dao in 2008, which had more than 2,600 international visitors.
After listening to opinions of departments, industries, Mr. Ho Van Nien - Deputy Chairman of the Provincial Peoples Committee, Head of the Supervisor Group acknowledged the attempt of Con Dao district in protecting and preserving environmental sanitation, technological infrastructure development, attracting investment in the field of tourism ... However, Mr. Ho Van Nien said that Con Dao had much potentiality, but it has not exploited effectively to develop tourism, has not attracted yet domestic and foreign investors. Mr. Ho Van Nien suggested Con Dao district to continue thoroughly grasping the Resolution No. 05 to officials, Party members and people; in collaboration with departments and sectors to complete the Con Dao development planning by 2020 in a sustainable direction and note that development must be in association with environmental protection. Mr. Ho Van Nien also supported the policy of hiring foreign consultants to coordinate in Con Dao planning construction.
