Tourists keen on short-day tours
Tourist companies in Ho Chi Minh City said that
tourists are interested in short-day tours from one to three days instead of a
long-day or outbound tours during the September 2nd festival.
They added that the number of tourists booking tours during this festival has
slightly decreased in comparison with that of last year due to the impact of the
A/H1N1 influenza virus.
Saigontourist expects to serve 2,200 tourists from August 30th to September 3rd.
Of those tourists, more than 1,000 registered for excursions to Vung Tau, and
Phan Thiet while over 100 tourists booked a Malaysia-Singapore tour, a popular
attraction.
Meanwhile, around 250 tourists registered for the Phan Thiet-Da Lat trip, said
Ben Thanh tourism service company.
