Seminar focuses on caravan tourism
The Government should have policies to encourage
the development of ‘caravan tourism,’ delegates said at an international seminar
on Vietnam overland tourism held August 7 in the central city of Da Nang.
Speaking at the seminar, held by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism,
delegates said the Government should assist companies, which organize and manage
tours of international tourists to Vietnam, with easier documentation.
They proposed that the Government make border gates, which are able to receive
international tourists, become international border gates.
The traffic infrastructure on main routes connecting the international border
gates to central areas should be upgraded to create advantageous conditions for
tourists to travel through Vietnam and the East – West Economic Corridor, which
passes through Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
