The mausoleum and the Heroes and Martyrs Memorial will be closed from September 7 to November 6, 2009 for annual maintenance, announced the mausoleum management board.
The anniversary celebrations for President Ho Chi Minh and martyrs will be resumed as of November 7, 2009.
The President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum opens in the mornings on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The mausoleum welcomes over 15,000 people a week.
Construction began on September 2, 1973 and the mausoleum was inaugurated on August 29, 1981.
