New plans on TV channel for movies and tourism

     The Department of Cinematography is working along the Tourism

     Administration and relevant agencies on a proposal to build a TV channel for movies and tourism, an official from the department has said. The department’s Vice Head Le Ngoc Minh said such a dedicated channel will be useful for the development of the domestic cinema industry that is facing difficulties, and at the same time attract more foreign visitors to Vietnam.
According to Minh, the channel would introduce outstanding Vietnamese movies as well as the world’s classical works.
The project is considered as the department’s focal plan for 2009, Minh added.
