Brazilian artists to help promote Vietnam-Brazil cultural cooperation
A variety of Brazil’s cultural programmes will
take place in Vietnam from mid-September to mid-November, announced the Embassy
of Brazil in Hanoi yesterday.
The contemporary dance called “Chỉ muốn được bên anh” (Just to be with you)
performed by Quasar dance group will be the first performance on September 11th
at the Tuoi Tre Theatre, Hanoi.
The dance is to commemorate the two most talented musical dancers of all time,
Elis Regina and Tom Jobim.
The dance, by choreographer Henrique Rodovalho, will be accompanied by music
from the album “Elis and Tom” recorded in 1974.
The programme will continue with concert of chamber music at the Vietnam
National Music Academy on October 6th. Another concert by Vietnamese and
Brazilian artists takes place on November 2nd at the Hanoi Opera House, and
eight typical films of Brazil will be screened at the National Cinema Center
from November 6th to 12th.
This artistic programme, jointly organized by the Embassy of Brazil and the
Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, are part of the celebration of
the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Brazil and
Vietnam.
